Renovation of the salary system in the public sector in the final phase

The negotiators of the government and public sector unions announced yesterday after more than ten hours of negotiations, that the proposal of the new salary law is almost completely harmonized. The agreement will now be judged by the trade union authorities, the signing is scheduled for Wednesday.

Chief Government Negotiator, Finance Minister Klemen Boštjančič said, that Monday's negotiations were marathon, and even though they are tired, on the other hand, they are also satisfied, because of the law on the common foundations of the wage system in the public sector “managed to hit practically all the nuts”.

The draft law on the common foundations of the salary system in the public sector is expected to be considered by the government on Thursday and then forwarded to the National Assembly for consideration.
